Mon province ce n'est pas un province...
Nov. 29th, 2005 11:19 am...c'est l'hiver!
Yup, it's snowing today in Vancouver. At our place downtown the skies are white, the roads are slick, but not much is sticking. However here @ work it's a winter wonderland. I'd guess we have around 7 or 8 cms of the white stuff. And like true Vancourites, less than 25% of the staff are here today.
I really should take advantage of this and get a shiteload of backlogged work done. Pie would be nice though.
In other news, we're into an election cycle again. Vote NDP Canadians!!!!!!!! I've decided the best outcome would be a slight Conservative minority (110-120 seats) with 40 or more NDippers in da House.

Date: 2005-11-30 01:22 am (UTC)A Con minority would have to compromise with someone else as an ally of sorts. The Libs won't do it because they want back in. If Harper goes with the Bloc, the entire TROC will punish him next election. If he goes with the NDP, he'll have to drop the marriage shite, put health, housing and education high on budget priorities.
If he doesn't cooperate with anyone else and his government falls, he'll be gone for good--because it'll prove he really is a fuckwit asswipe powerhungry shiteface--and can't be trusted. Better to find that out via a short-lived minority government than during a 4-5 year majority one.
And if the Cons win at all, Martin gets turfed and the Libs will have to rebuild.

Date: 2005-11-30 02:14 am (UTC)And while I'm really hoping for NDP gains in this election, I don't expect them to double their number of seats.
We'll see what happens though!
