It's not a romantic weekend. Rather it's a studied and focussed effort to shore up national unity by eating tarte sucre et poutine. I might even be willing to spread to save the country.

We're in Québec City tomorrow night, then off to Montréal for New Year's Eve and Day. Back Monday night. I am so excited, both to be showing mon homme Québec, and to be getting back there for the first time in several years--and the first time en hiver.

May you all have a peaceful, fun, fulfilling 2006!

If I said I was a separatist, would you hold it against me?

It's the *principle* of the thing.

The political thing, that is.

Heads up, the winter isn't exactly impressive right now! The temperature is hovering around zero and the snow is just a frozen crust. Perhaps this will be a genuine mild winter... Have fun here in Québec!

Haha you're right! The winter switch was finally flipped. We went to a restaurant last night and by the time we left it was freeeezing! I don't know what happened!

Bonne année à toi aussi !

You'll be there, and I'll be here... c'est ben domage!

I'll be back in Monday, early evening. I guess we'll cross paths in the sky...

Enjoy the super mild temperatures!
