Dors mon amour
Jan. 15th, 2006 11:36 pmA good day: some exercise (the gym), a noice brunch (eggs béné), a noice tea (salmon), an interesting film (If...., UK, 60s, Malcolm McDowell), and some earth-shatteringly good nookie with the husband. Not much election pron available today, but that's probably a good thing too.
One of the things I assured
querrelle while living Down Undah was that I'd be much more physically active here in Canada--especially in the winter. And particularly with the advent of ice skating twice a week, combined with one day at the gym I'm moving and shaking things more than I have in a number of years.
And it hurts. Today I wasn't able to do my regular Eurovision aerobic exercise (power walk one uptemp ESC track, jog the next, power walk, jog, spring if Diva queues up, repeat for 30 minutes) and mostly power walked it. My legs felt like jello all day. By the time we got home from the day's activities I had to chill for a good 90 minutes.
Weight's not going down, btw. I am, however, feeling better.

Date: 2006-01-16 08:21 am (UTC)We packed weeks of exercise into one weekend kareening down the alps in two racing sleds. No ESC soundtrack, but I kept singing "Rom lag in Schnee" from Lys Assia's new cd in the gondola back up to the top. I'm not sure why.
Diablo is really sore this today. I feel great. Guess which one of us hasn't darkened the door of a gym in a year. It makes me think that all that gym stuff makes you look great - but isn't good for much practical.

Date: 2006-01-16 05:24 pm (UTC)SO envious of the twice weekly figure skating! I spent my childhood skating and playing hockey, and I miss it very much. I still rollerblade every now and then, but ice skating....not so much!
xo
Teeny print. How I scanned the last paragraph.

Date: 2006-01-17 08:15 pm (UTC)I've actually been hoping for a Con minority with enough NDP to hold the balance of power. Then Harper can't cuddle up with the Bloc (bad Canadian playing nicely with separatists!). And if Harper doesn't make any reasonable compromises requested by the NDP he'll prove to the country that he really is an ideological, close-minded fuckwit.
Then we get rid of Martin this year, and Harper next year. It's like Christmas all over again!
I also think a lot of the seats he's picking up in Ontario are gonna be held by folks who will challenge the rabid right wing fuckwits of the Reformiss.
