OK, then if the last 5 slots are from the semi finals, then the suggestion is that a semi finalist will win. Then, if we base further on your prediction in a previous post on who you think will go through to the semi finals, being Armenia (cute boy), Iceland (who couldn't love her), Bosnia (Male), Russia (don't know), and Turkey. Further, your analysis suggests that a female solo or female lead usually wins the race. If that's the case the winner will either be Iceland or Turkey.
Am I right in that interpretation?

"Believe it or not, the draw slot that’s won the most is #1! In ‘75, ‘76 and ‘84 the very first song performed ended up on top. On the other hand, three winners – ‘77, ‘82, and ‘83 - were performed last."
That might be good news for Sandra Simo Studer, but aren't you saying the last draw slot won as much as the first draw slot?
Fascinating analysis - cheers for that. It's nearly always the case that host countries tend to to well - Sweden 1992 being a painful exception. Your bigging-up of the Greek entry may well prove to be portentous.
And last year Ukraine tanked; in 2003 Latvia did as well. In fact in 2002 the result was 1. Latvia 2. Malta 3. UK...a year later they were all in the bottom 3.

Date: 2006-04-18 07:30 pm (UTC)The last slot has been anything from 12th to 26th over the years. Hence my use of 1st versus last. 1st is always #1. But yeah, I wasn't too clear....
