For the most part. I slept about 14 hours in total yesterday (including naps), and while I felt better today, not entirely well. Still, on avait des choses à faire...
querrelle was off at 08h45 to pick up the truck. Winnie, Ron, and Jeannette showed up at 09h30 to start shifting stuff downstairs.
querrelle had taken apart all that needed to be unIkead last night, which turned out to be wicked clever.
toneyvr works Saturdays, but he helped me yesterday arvo with shifting the telly over. So our friends stepped up in a major way.
We got everything into the one truckload, so it took about 90 minutes to load it up, and 45 or so to unload it. We bought the boys lunch as thanks, then
querrelle took the truck back. I went back to grab some more stuff from the old place (odd dishes, some hanging clothes, some food), and
querrelle arrived and did some too. Then it was back to the new place to re-assemble furniture (bed, bookshelves, dining table) and put bits away. The 2nd bedroom/office is still piled with books, CDs and boxes, but the rest of the place is looking great: the bedroom suite fits perfectly.
But I'm knackered. and still have no appetite from whatver ails my stomach. Looking forward to a nice hot bath and DVD night with my one true love.

Date: 2006-10-09 05:04 pm (UTC)I did have a fabulous visit with Nanny - she asked to see Dave's picture and told me he was okay, but I should take him for what he's worth and move on to the next one. Play the field, she told me!
