On Friday I got my renewed Canadian passport in the mail. It's got 48 pages because the lovely French Canadian woman in the service centre said "oh you seem to travel a lot, maybe more pages for $5 extra?" Biensûr! I look appropriately surly and terroristic. Just think [livejournal.com profile] greekcub and [livejournal.com profile] mason5280, in about 1000 sleeps you can apply for one too!

Speaking of which, the Harpee proposal to eliminate dual citizenship is crap. There's a whole slew of creative class people who hold multiple citizenships. Many who have a choice between countries like Canada, the US, Australia, NZ, the EU will take into account dual citizenship issues. And you can kiss the fluid immigrant vote bye-bye Stebie, if you follow through on this one. Let's see....75 seats in the next erection? Québec's already gone, Ontario's getting worse, you're already down in BC, and there's no where else to go up.

Will it be Prime Minister Ignatieff, Dion or (greatly reduced) Harper in the April 2007 election? My dollar's on Dion. He and Kennedy make a pact, Kennedy gets bumped. Dion bumps Rae (too many Ontarians with long term memory). That leaves Iggy and Dion.

Time for conjugal bliss...should my next performance be Danjiela?

Or perhaps Sandrine François?

Or Chiara?

Or perhaps...Sertab?

I wouldn't rule out Rae. He is running a good campaign, has money, can speak french, is well known.

It really depends where all the other leadership camps go. Wherever Brison or Dryden go can really tip the balance. Seeing what Kennedy or Dion do after the 2nd ballot will also be interesting.

The leadership race is political crack, even though I want whoever to win to perform with 2000 era Stockwell Day like abilities.

Doesn't really matter. Everyone who's dropped out thus far has gone to Rae, but their delegates went Iggy. And Rae would be THE WORST thing ever for the Liberal party. After Volpe. Ick. I would expect Brison to support Ignatieff.

It mattered a lot in the 2003 PC race when Orchard lent his support to Mackay. I think it really matter where the bottom 4 go. Big time.

Rae worse than Volpe? Are you sure? Partisan attacks against what Stephen Harper said in 1997 didn't work this election, just as attacks against Bob Rae in 1993 won't work in 2007.

Sertab. Definitely.

And er... "75 seats in the next erection"?
Something on your mind, perhaps?
(and what does it say about me that I immediately spot it)
