window media streaming content

Ok ça menarve.

Has anyone on an intel Mac managed to play Windows Media streaming content embedded in a webpage (usually through an embedded interface)? I have both Flip4Mac and WMP 9 OS X on my machine. Yet nothing continues to happen.

Known issue with intel macs, AFAIK. I can do it on my old G5 imac, but I don't think we've been able to get it working. The Naxos libraries are all online now, and with our school's subscription a lot of profs are assigning them instead of putting a CD on reserve. EAsier...except if you're on an intel mac. If we get a fix, I'll let you know.

Flip4Mac is the way to go...

There are tons of different streaming formats out there, and Flip4Mac does a pretty good job with most of them, but there are a few that slip thru..some providers insist on offering up weird formatted stuff, and there's nothing that will read it. Other than that, F4M works well for me. If there's a particular site that isn't happening, post it's url and we'll check it out.
