But I think these new thingies might just sorta kinda be having an effect. More energy and focus. This morning I took one after my early morning pee (06h) and sure enough I was wide awake well before 08h. Almost full of beans too.

And it's snowing again. Rather heavily.

A few years ago, Fondation Olo put out a compilation called "Le Lait", which is mostly French pop from the 60s and 70s. "Pour vivre ensemble" is on it. I googled her after that and found a greatest hits kind of cd at HMV, part of the "Chanson Française" series. The image on the cover is your Frida userpic. "Mon Pays" isn't on it, I'll have to scout it out.

My favourite is a toss up between "Cent mille chansons" and "Pour vivre ensemble". Although I must say, that my first encounter with her--"So ist das Leben" is quite good (when she sings the line "Ich bin allein" in rather deep alto, she sounds like she is channeling Marlene Dietrich). I need to find a turntable so I can hear it again.
