Sacré un claque, I threw out my back a couple of days ago. Haven't been bedridden, but it's difficult to get to work when 1.) you carry your laptop to and fro (usually in a backpack; and 2.) you ride a hog scooter to and fro. Also means no skiing tonight. Goddamn it. Apparently Oprah thinks those little girls in South Africa are more important than me seeing new episodes of her show at 16h each day. Even that wanker Dr Phil has new episodes this week. Maybe if he gave Oprah a talkin'-to she'd smarten up. More likely she'd smote his muthafuckin' ass methinks. Yes, I'm sure of actually.

I also need to put away the Christmas tree, but since that involves crouching and stooping, it won't be happening today either. I will, however, be making some beef stew. My stew rocks, btw. It does.

Am feeling very blah today and it's unclear to me if it's post-holidays blah, my back hurts blah or still a wee bit depressed blah. Either way, don't like it much. But I'll see how tomorrow is, since I expect to be wholly healed from the back thang. I have desire to do something but a lack of focus or explicit motivation.

I got my Boxing Day shopping in the mail yesterday: a 250GB USB 2.0 external hard drive for $89CA (plus taxes etc). it's sexy and quiet and will fit in my carry on and it shall become the home of ripped movies for viewing on the road. Plus backup of my computer.

Time to slice and brown the meat.

Ugh. I threw mine out on a printer, and it tweaks out on me every once and awhile if I'm not careful. Can you do any exercise? Walking seems to help mine.
