Yes, it's a Yellowknife, as in capital city for the Northwest Territories. 62° 28' N 114° 27' W. Thanks to the beauty of frequent flyer points, we'll be jetting up for the Caribou Carnival and (je prie) the Aurora Borealis. 23-25 March.

I have seen it a couple of times- never in "Amazing" form. The trick is being outside at night to appreciate it ;)

Spectacular! We used to do family camp-outs in Northern Alberta and loved to see the lights. Now that my sister and I have moved south (Calgary) we usually end up meeting the folks in the middle. Need to get back up there one day soon.

Take some good binoculars, great time of year to see Saturn, Whirlpool Galaxy (M51).

I've never been in the winter, only in the 23.999999999 hours of sunlight season. But I have seen the lights in other northern Canuckian locals and they're amazing!
