pis j'uis si fatigué
Jun. 24th, 2003 04:47 pmCalgon take me away!
Harry Potter and I got in from Melbourne at 17h45 and walked magically onto a waiting train; I was home by 18h10. Lights on revealed a lovely bouquet courtesy of
querrelle. Love you Max! I immediately run a bath and downloaded email whilst checking voicemail.
In the past week I've:
+had an article accepted (with revisions) in a Tier I journal (woo hoo!)
+grown closer to Max (woo hoo!)
+been turned down for a 2 year term appointment here in Sydney (d'oh!)
In strictest mathematical terms, woo hoos are ahead. But not getting the job is a big d'oh. Wah.
I'm almost entirely over it. Almost
Today was better. Woke up with Max poking at me (down boy!), still nicely sticky from the night before. Bath. At work by 09h35 (goal was 09h30), and commenced work on some writing. Voicemail revealed a message from our local queer press: I had emailed them about my research project, and it dovetails nicely with a piece they're writing about young queers. So after lunch I did a long interview with them. The piece will be in this week's or next week's Sydney Star Observer.
And new thingies (Safari 1.0, iChat video) with which to play) for digital pleasures. Too kewl.
Am currently on the Chesterfield, feeling a bit of malaise. Stress? Flu? Virgin Blue?
