Today is the national holiday of Québec and Newfoundland--the Feast of St. Jean the Baptist!

Bonne fête à tous! Happy holiday everybody!

These two unique and vibrant--and vitally important--members of the Canadian family give our country texture and colour. Without Québec there never would've been a Canada so committed to justice and fairness. Without Newfoundland, more dour. Both are terrific--book your holidays. Now.

Too funny,eh? If someone were to take "The Sthtar Sthpangle Banner" and rewrite it as a disco sex romp they'd get arrested. Or shot by some madman.

Québecers generally think it's a great song and Patsy's still popular their (I saw her sing it on "La Fureue" last year). Though she now lives in Paris.
