quand j'ai plus envie de ne rien faire
Jun. 26th, 2007 08:32 amJune is often suckish here in Vancouver, our wet Summer month. Were the previous months more typical (Jan/Feb cold/wet; late Feb/March/April glorious warm Spring; May early Summer warmth), the cool damp would be more tolerable. But we've not had more than 5 consecutive days of warmth yet this year. Ça ménarve!
This week has been one of 3 seasons per day: cold and wet, warm and damp, hot, all in the space of a few hours and rotating between. Unless the dampness goes away, rollerblading isn't really an option. I'm old fashioned I guess...I don't like having my wheels slide out from under me on wet asphalt or leaves. But yesterday I managed to get out for an hour and took a nice long skate. I'm pleasingly sore today.
The yoghurt is eaten and the LJ is read. Time to ablute. Then an hour in the office before putting the scooter in for servicing. Then work at home for the balance of the day.
