Who would have guessed that in downtown London I would find a very high quality pair of snowboard/ski pants for the outrageous price of £10 ($25 Canadian). Including VAT.

London, however, remains hideously expensive. Less so for some stuff (clothes, music, videos), but as much for others (food, public transport).

But a lovely sunny and warm (25C) day on Regent Street is...lovely!

I haven't been to London in, oh, 8 or 9 years, but when I was there, it struck me that the number on the sticker for food was about the same number it'd be on Canadian grub. A can of soda, for arguments sake, would be 1.00. Except there is a hell of a lot of difference between one dollar Canadian and one pound, or Euro now I guess. :( Damn expensive place to eat.

how much is the VAT these days, anyway?

You actually found a deal in London?!?! That is amazing.

Luckily, walking is free.

Enjoy your day!
