We were wild party boys last night. After happy hour we enjoyed a loverly sunset on English Bay before wandering up the road (literally, perhaps 1/2km) for Indian. Our server was from Sydney and we chatted about things Australian while chowing down on a not bad lamb rogan josh. Not [livejournal.com profile] enhydrasf Josh, but I bet he's pretty tasty. We then decided to check out a newish bar/lounge that opened recently, 11-something on Davie. Nice chilled vibe, good music played not too loud, some eye candy. We were still home by 23h. Noice evening.

This morning I went and looked at Scooter pr0n (I'll upgrade to a larger bike once I get my full m/c license and wanted to get an idea of price point), then to our neighbourhood organic public market. In the summer months they block off a section of Comox street and vendors come in and...vend. There's a guy who sells raw milk cheeses, so we grabbed a few slabs o' dat, plus some squash, taters and tomatoes. Buying well grown organic tomatoes really makes eating the shite ones sold in the supermarket almost entirely unappealing.

Himself met me near the market and we went to our local Hamburger Mary's for lunch. I'm surprised the place isn't full of bears, the portions were so huge. We then came home and have been doing chores. [livejournal.com profile] querrelle has just installed a new roller blind for our (2m wide) bedroom window. With the sun up just after 05h in the summer, poor lad kept waking up like a proper cock. I've re-organized the spare room closet, which we fairly shoved full of shite when we moved in. Much better and there's room to spare even.

The other incredibly exciting thing is we've finally got a PVR. I've wanted one for the longest time, but didn't see any point in buying a 3rd party one that wouldn't work with our digital cable. But our cable company put a non-HD on special this week. We won't even consider going HD until at least half the channels we regularly watch are available in HD so this is perfect for us. I was so excited yesterday I decided to buy TV Guide for the first time since puberty...thoug the only thing I could find was our local equivalent....for the week of 01 September? WTF--a bit lame not to have one available for next week, no?

Tonight it's grilled lamb snag and sweet corn (o' cob) and a salad. And a quiet one in, methinks. Il pleut aujourd'hui. Calîsse!
