I have a book that was suggested by someone who doesn't know me particularly well. And I've bristled about it since he proffered it. And I just realized that's why" if you don't know me really, how would you have any idea "you'll really love this, I'm sure." However, in the spirit of not being a pissy curmudgeon before my time, I will give it a chapter. Soon. Promis.

Gawd loves each and every one of us. Including the eejits who feel worthlessness=faith and the arsewipes who think that Gawd speaks to them. That's not Gawd, that's you, selfish, self-deluding knuckleheads!

Thinking about that Senator from Idaho I am struck by how incredibly sad his soul must be. If he was looking for action in les toilets, it just shows (considering that he identifies himself as heterosexual) how much pain/self-hatred he carries. He is hiding this part of himself, he is probably filled with a fair amount of shame and he has gone to great lengths to conceal his sexuality. It just seems so sad. A lifetime of sacrificing some contentment for appearances/influence must make a person weird inside.

On one level certainly. But on another most I've encountered (having been a can kween as a teen) are arrogant: they think they're smarter than most and therefore smart enough to get away with. Their public posturing is about power more than principle.

I suppose it is a huge surprise to them when they get caught. A lot of ego there.
Seeing his wife stand beside him -wearing those huge glasses. That must have been rough.
