Aujourd'hui j'ai 44 ans
Feb. 28th, 2008 10:00 pmIt's been a lovely birthday. Thanks again to everyone who's sent me wishes via here, email, SMS or phone.
querrelle got me this:

20"LCD, HD, sexy, great picture. We are now wired in both the lounge and the bedroom. Thanks again love!
Work today was a puttering day of well wishes and bonding. One of my colleagues--who's specialty is coordinating uniforms for Olympic Games and other global sporting events--organized an Indian takeout lunch for our team and baked a lovely mint chocolate cake for us! We had a nice chatty lunch--something our workloads didn't really allow between November and February.
This afternoon the IOC gros fromage was in town and gave a talk. Interesting, affable, definately a player. Then our team gathered on the Drive for food and libations. It's been nearly a decade since I've socialized with work colleagues, and it's really, really nice. Everyone's nice, cluey, clever, funny, and excited about the journey we're taking together!
Ma called this afternoon, in good spirits. Ditto Tomby. Kath sent me an e-card.
I feel very loved. And blessed: though I am on the tail end of the Holocaust generation of queer men, I knew many--too many--that would *love* to be faced with paunches, wrinkles, and grey hairs. I am a happy, healthy 44 year old gay man. We're a few hundred thousand short of us from my calculations.
