Bulgaria's wild card for Eurovision

Bulgaria, like a lot of central/eastern European countries, takes the Eurovision fairly seriously. Having said that, they've only made it out of the semi-finals once, with 2006's fabulos Voda (Water) by Elitsa and Stoyan. Once again they've hosted a series of semi-finals in preparation for a proper national final 21 February. And as in recent years the organizers have selected some "wildcards": established, popular artists who can by-pass the semi-finals directly into the final. This is how Voda was selected, by the way.

One of these stands out by a mile, for all sorts of good reasons:

• catchy song
• well performed
• a professional artist who can sing live
• hawt too

The song is pretty disposable but the video is kinda neat. Sort of a Twilight Zone thing going on.
It's really a shame that we don't get to hear much from the outside of Anglophonia. There's some major talent out there. It's all about distribution and who owns it really.

Impressive. I like the song, and can see it doing well for Bulgaria. I still enjoy listening to their previous entries, and only wish the UK and Ireland would take note. As for yer man, well I wouldn't kick him out of bed, not even if he ate broken biscuits. Thanks for posting this!
