Has chosen "lose control" by Waldo's People" and Denmark is between Hera Bjork's fab schlager "Someday" and Brinck's Ronan Keating penned "Believe Again."
I vote for the latter, but Jaysus Ronan'll be kneecapped I'd Denmark won the Contest with his song.
Edit: it's Brinck! Posted via LiveJournal.app.

Date: 2009-01-31 09:11 pm (UTC)I don't mine "Someday" but I'm more fond of "Det' Det'" ^o^ Sorry~~
What did you think of the others selected? I just heard "My Time" from the UK and, while I like the singer quite a bit, I think the song's way too Broadway and Warren's lyrics are pure crap.
And Romania? M'eh.

Date: 2009-01-31 11:21 pm (UTC)Finland's record sounds great, but I think the vocal (rap and singing) live is a tad messy--and we know how popular rapping is at the Eurovision. And in 1999 this would've been contemporary...not today. May qualify from its semi, depending on who else in it.
Romania dropped the ball again--but it looks like the jury's to blame, since they ranked the songs I thought could do well (Dalma's first and foremost) towards the bottom. Elena Gheorghe needs to learn how to say "p"--it's party not barty. It'll qualify though.
Denmark's could do very well. Sounds like the kind of song they've shone with in the past. Hera Bjork would've sunk like a stone in Moscow.
My favourite so far is still Albania.

Date: 2009-02-01 01:13 am (UTC)Finland's vocals do need cleaning up, certainly, but the song is still decent live. So far this is my favourite.
Yeah, I was hoping I wasn't the only one disappointed with Romania -- a shame, as the televote fave was far better.
Denmark's song sounds like something on a modern pop chart -- I think his vocal is a bit shaky live but that can improve. He needs to not get pelted in the face with steam in Moscow like he did in the NF. :: laugh ::
Albania's song is interesting, certainly -- I'm waiting to hear the final 3 minute English version to make my decision, but it's certainly not bad.
So far my biggest disappointments have been Turkey (same chorus for 3 freakin' minutes) Belarus (oy, where to start), and Montenegro (you just don't care? Already, Montenegro??).

Date: 2009-02-01 06:17 am (UTC)Albania's found what got them success in Istanbul: catchy quasi-ethnic pop song belted out by a diamon in the rough young gal. But without the unibrow this time. ;)
