My birfday yesterday--45 OMFG--was really nice. Like most winter Saturdays it started with some cross-country skiing with

After already having bought me lunch on Friday...

toneyvr also quite kindly waited for me to grab a shower, then dropped me and my snowboard off for a tune-up. I've had the board for 3 years, but this is the first time it's been tuned (sharped and waxed) since I bought it. Yes, taking care of things is not my strong suit. The fella at the shop was knowledgeable, funny and kinda cute in an alpine late 40s way. toneyvr even went so far as to offer to pick it up for me (it's about 1km from his place; 5km from mine) on Wednesday. What a bestest friend, eh?

While I was at the ski shop my brother Tomby called, as did my pal Noël. Noice. Since I was already over on that side of town I then waddled down East Broadway and taking a look around places like MEC. Bought 2 cheap and cheeful fleece toques (thicker ones don't fit under my helmet) for a whopping $13. Yeah I roll like that.

My birfday lunch was--surpriiiiiise--McDo. I even treated myself to 2 a strawberry pie. Then I did some laundry, Ma cawled, did the dry cleaning (drop off/pick up, not literally did the dry cleaning), and bought condo insurance. All while nude. Boy were my feet cold after. And perhaps that's what caused the tinitis, which continues this morning.

querrelle came home (workshop thingie) and we had knookie (it's my birthday and I'll shag if I want to, shag if I want to). We then had a gorgeous dinner at Granville Island's Sand Bar. Very noice. Then home for puttering, a couple of episodes of "Little Mosque on the Prairie" (mostly to ogle my Muslim daddy) before I fell asleep.

45 for some reason feels wicked old compared to 40. *shrug*
