jawnbcAfter work I'll be doing some phone work for the folks at YES BC-STV. As I've mentioned earlier, British Columbia is voting in May about changing our provincial electoral system from traditional first-past-the-post to single transferable vote. Wiki both terms for a background.
This issue is one of the main reasons I resigned as an NDP member. First, I wanted to be able to say I'm not a member of any political party. Second, the NDP as one of the 2 current parties in our Legislative Assembly hasn't exactly embraced a system that may or may not favour them at the expense of smaller parties.
But I'm not a real phone canvasser: I'm calling people who already said they would volunteer. I won't ever ask for money. Ew. Dirty.
