None of the Sept 11 hijacker came through Canada. None. Your government gave each and every one of them a tourist or student visa, and they did not travel via Canada.

There's nothing wrong with having legitimate concerns: these are not legitimate concerns. Your system failed, not ours.

No she was specifically asked about 11 September after discussing that bad person. Which we were responsible for and we accept being in the wrong there.

In 2005, I had an American who worked for Homeland Security tell me (in Montreal) that the 9/11 hijackers came in from Canada. I pressed him on this point and he told me that he didn't have first-hand knowledge, but that's what the buzz was at Homeland Security and who was I to question that?
