today could last another million years
Mar. 29th, 2010 12:58 pm Hello, do you remember me? I used to write a lot here.
Am settling into my post-Olympics/Paralympics life quite nicely--though I often find myself wondering what I'm supposed to do at times where I'd been volunteering between December and March. Il faut du temps.
This weekend was nice though. Friday night reconnect with
querrelle , a leisurely Saturday morning, then off to the VAG for the DaVinci code sketches. As part of the Cultural Olympiad Betty II loaned part of the collection of Leo's physiological sketches. Pretty amazing stuff--shame it sat in boxes until the beginning of the 20th century. We then toddled off bookshopping and caféing before heading home. I had plans to head up to Grouse for my first snowboarding runs of the season...but all the walking knackered me. So I had poutine for dinner instead (Himself was out with a mate for the evening).
Sunday was also leisurely. I'd noticed on Friday that Comor's on Burrard (@4th) was one of the many businesses holding a clearance sale of 2010 merchandise. I went hoping to maybe get a fleece, but ended up with
Rang the folks on Sunday and spoke to Dad for the longest time ever (no, really). Ma was napping. He even asked about querrelle. Repeatedly. Not complaining...just sorta rocks my view of the universe.
querrelle
Today I'm a work and am on top of things for the most part. Starting to plan professional development for the coming fiscal year (July-June). Am looking for a good conference somewhere, preferably Europe.
