This evening I have an exam in my French class. I fucking hate exams. Exams are stoopid; they don't measure learning. 

I know this: I'm an educator, an instructional designer, and have a PhD in adult education.

And yet my 4th grade keener nerd self is making me cram for da exam. Even as my inner voice chants "focus on learning, focus on learrrrrning."

I finished college 5 years ago and still have nightmares about being late at school and not knowing the answers at the exams.
