we could have a conversation
Nov. 27th, 2010 02:37 pmGreetings from Matzoh-Pizza Massapequa Park Long Island NY, home of my bro and his ilk. 60% of his ilk are in Barcelona (one daughter on exchange there; Mum and younger sister over for a visit), so it's Tom and Caitlin,
jawnbc and
querrelle . Oh, and Homer the bloodhound. Homie, for the record, may be the sweetest dawg EVAR. Almost sweet enough to make the dangling boogers and dog saliva bearable. Almost.
Thanksgiving at my sister's was great. 5 of her 7 kids (minus
stoplabelingme and
jenime ) plus the four of us and Dad. Dad was immersed in football and the rest of us were yammering. So not a sad moment to be had, though Mom's presence was certainly missed. One thing my brother and sister have in common is that they've both raised great people--not an asshole in the bunch. On the way home Cait and Jessie yammered away happily while young Marty and I played Angry Birds or air hockey on various iOS devices. Looong day (red-eye flight, 6 hours in the car), but a great one.
I loves my people.
Yesterday
querrelle and I dipped our toes into Black Friday. Managed to get some nice shirts for work (oooh Lands End mock turtlenecks *squee*). Followed by a quiet night here in suburbia. Today we journeyed to Best Buy as a quad pod, followed by a lovely lunch. Our flight home is in a few hours. Which will be lovely.
