 A few random updates:

• New job is kicking my arse but going well. I think.
• Was shortlisted (2 person shortlist!) for a tenure-track gig in Newfoundland. Were I single I would've gone for the interview...but that doesn't mean I'm heartbroken about not going for it either.
• Submitted to a conference in Novi Sad next June. IF paper gets in and IF I get funding from the program in which I teach, ja mo be there.
• Marking is done for the term. Students mostly are very pleased with their experiences...and have no idea I was working at about 50% of my usual standard because of Mom's death.
• Today is our Christmas party. There will be ice skating. On the rink where the women's Olympic hockey and Paralympic sledge hockey tournaments were played. That's pretty frickin' kewl, eh?
• Indoors, since the monsoon has come--and it's raining in the local mountains. *sob*
• Am slowly finding my holidays mojo.
