In the 80s I lived in New York City. Going to a movie meant lining up 2 hours ahead to get tickets, then another to get a decent seat. Only to have the trash of the city and their talking/yelling/nattering ruin the whole fucking experience. And I largely dedicated my weekends to be drunk. So I didn't see many films at all in the 80s.

And I'm too lazy to work through the rest. :)
