Add the next line if you can:

"It was Christmas Eve babe, in the drunk tank."

"An old man said to me, 'Won't see another one'"

Admission: I knew it was "Fairytale of New York" by The Pogues with Kirsty MacColl, but I had to Google the lyrics.

Sigh. Kirsty.

"I turned my face away and dreamt about you."

*wonders if you're still up*

How about tea Friday morning? 11am?
Ma wants to see you too, but she's planning to leave friday.
If that's no good, we can reschedule sans Ma.

btw, It's "The Rare Old Mountain Dew"
The line you posted was different than what I remembered (which wasn't right either as it turns out). Anyway, so I googled the lyric and found out that it's an old Celtic tune.

P.S. I got hit by a bus while walking along listening to this song on my walkman on Xmas day. But then, I've probably told you that story several times before.

OK. I'm done now. Really.

"They've got got cars big as bars, they've got rivers of gold

But the wind blows right through you, it's no place for the old

When you first took my hand on that cold Christmas Eve

You promised me Broadway was waiting for me"

(ok it's later in the song, but I've been off-line a few days)
