Conducted my first 2 interviews for the Vancouver cohort of my research on young gay/bi/queer men in Sydney Oz and Vancouver Canuckistan. Both very interesting, articulate guys. Our local alternative news weekly ran a wee blurb/story on the project this week. Research-wise, it's all woo hoo, nary a d'oh to be had.

But I am really, really over being apart from querrelle. I leave in 2 weeks for Sydney, but like querrelle my psoraisis is out of control--I'm a bigger flake than usual. And me be pretty darn flakey.

Next week I'm off to New York to visit her majesty Patricia of Belle Harbor. puzzld1 and I are gonna try to connect that Sunday (12th), if any of you Nu Yawkuz know of anything on the go, please let me know.

Sounds good! I'll be happy to see what your findings are. I'm currently in the midst of investigating HIV intervention discourse that focuses on Spanish-speaking individuals in the US Southwest. So far, I've racked up some 40 hours of formal, official, and informal observations/interviews that focus on board meetings, mission statements, and outreach or pedagogical contexts/venues. I guess you could say I'm compiling a bureaucratic ethnography on the behavior modification regime.
