Je dip donc j'existe
Mar. 6th, 2003 02:48 pmWoke up, ran and took the bath (Pisces), and went right back to bed after emailing work. Just couldn’t do it, some sort of bug. I felt it coming on last night, but hoped it wouldn’t progress. it did. And I slept until 1pm, which seems to have helped.
D’oh!
Don’t know the exact illness, but treatment’s a no-brainer:
1. Pat-ato chips (yummy chips with yummy Pat Rafter on da bag)
2. Onion dip
3. Juice
4. Echineacea (sic)
5. Laptop in bed
Being Irish (almost 100%, even got the passport), starches and fats are integral to any sort of healing. This is me healing.
I’m also booked to start an Irish language class on Saturday morning at U Sydney Continuing Studies. irish 1B, though I’ve not take Irish before--but I’ve picked up a smattering of expressions over the years. Good day, look at the boy, kiss my cow’s arse, hunger is a good sauce--the important stuff. So it should be ok, but I find nothing more frustrating and humbling than learning a new language. When I went to Québec a few years ago for an intensive immersive French course, I sorta fooked my way into better speaking and comprehension skills. I boinked the drama teacher, and spent 3 weekends holed (!) up in the sauna in Québec City.
My knowledge of anatomical terms is pretty good. I still can’t remember the word for knife.
