I've been watching closely too. I'd rather wait for a Rev B for now.

It sounds like a lot of apps will need patches and updates to run on the new hardware... kind of like OS X when it was brand new.

I told myself when I placed the order, this one will do good enough, but dayum the specs on the new Macbooks are schweet. Curse you, Apple ingenuity!

You have a Mac already? Tres bien! I've finally been convinced and purchased an an Apple iBook laptop back last August. Since i've been using windows for such a long time I'm finding it a bit frustrating at times. Not so much using the laptop but more on finding missing software (and the price to replace such software!) and how to use it.

For example, I used to be able to put a selective read receipt on Microsoft Outlook and place a "reply to" on selective emails. It's all looks a lot harder now. Maybe they're trying to get me to use the Apple version of Mail.

Actually, my partner also bought an iBook so now it's heaven as we can both we on the internet at the same time without having to push someone off. When I was working in Adelaide I was able to use iSight and iChat to see my beau and my dieux chat (is that 12 or 2? I mean 2) rather than just chat over the phone. It was much better and I didn't feel that I was so isolated from them.

I think I just need to find someone here that I can just keep asking little stupid questions.

Anyways, I'm sure you'll enjoy the new Mac when it arrives.

Gav.

nice :) I think I'll be getting one soon enough though I'm undecided about the intel versions since I don't feel like being an early adopter anymore. Got burned on my current laptop. ack!
